While you should have as much done for your wedding ceremony before, as possible, there’s always a few last minute things to organise. Most of these things are small and won’t take much time but they will help your day run a lot more smoothly. Everyone’s wedding day is different, so read through and decide which ones are important to you.
Designate an Organised Friend
This friend will need to arrive to your wedding ceremony location early to make sure everything is running on schedule. You won’t be arriving to the location until everyone is inside, so you won’t be able to make sure everything looks and feels perfect.
Give Wedding Bands to the Best Man
This is a job for the groom while him and the best man get suited up. If you give him the wedding bands any earlier than the morning of the wedding, you run the risk of him losing or forgetting them. While this most likely won’t happen, it definitely has before so why not be prepared.
If you are writing your own wedding vows make sure you bring a copy of them to your location. Give a copy to your celebrant when you have them written, as a back up in case you forget to bring them with all the excitement.
Ribbons and Extra Bits
A lot of couples have special ceremonies like handfasting or candle lighting ceremonies incorporated into their wedding. If you are getting married with Marry Me Ireland we will have your select ribbons on hand but that’s not the same for all celebrants so make sure you ask before. Alternatively, a lot of couples want special candles or ribbons that they’ll bring themselves so if that’s the case, don’t forget them!
Here at Marry Me Ireland we have a wide variety of exceptional celebrants who can deliver the wedding ceremony of your dreams – traditional, unique or otherwise. So get in touch today and we can start planning your special day!
