So your wedding is fast approaching and you are wondering when is the right time to start your beauty regime. To help you get sorted and looking perfect we have come up with a timeline to help you take care of yourself on the run up to your wedding.
Six Months Before
Now is the time to begin your long-term beauty prep. Make sure you are drinking at least 2 litres of water everyday, this will help clear your skin and give you a nice glow. If you have acne or any other skin issues it’s important to go and see your doctor or a skin specialist as soon as possible, they will put you on tablets or give you a cream.
As well as drinking water make sure to exfoliate once a week and cleanse and moisturise everyday. If you don’t know what brand works best on your type of skin now is the time to experiment.
Three Months Before
If you don’t whiten your teeth already but want to for your wedding, take a trip to your dentist around this time. Don’t just order anything online, some products can do more damage than good.
You can begin experimenting with hairstyles around now. If you want to get your hair cut shorter or dye it a new colour you should do this around now to make sure it’s what you want.
One Month Before
Experiment with different make-up looks around now. You want to find the perfect combo for your special day. If you want to try face peels or treatments make sure not to leave it until just before in case your skin breaks out. As well as this, you should get your waxing done now in case of rashes (only if you wax regularly, otherwise you may break out).
One Week Before
Get your eyebrows shaped and tinted in case of any major beauty mishaps and you need to grow them out a bit (believe us it happens!), you can get them tidied up closer to the day. Now is the time to get your hair dyed, if you have decided it is what you want to do. This still leaves 7 days to fix it if you change your mind. Get a facial, one you’ve tried the month before.
This will be a very stressful time so it’s important to put aside time for yourself. Get a massage or go for a long walk, it’ll take the edge off and your mind and body will thank you for it.
Two Days Before
If you are getting a spray tan don’t leave it until the day before, you don’t want to come out orange. Get your nails done now too, you will be super busy the day before and won’t have the time.
On the Day
Get your hair done, get your make-up done and most importantly enjoy every minute!
