Valentine’s Day is one of my favourite days of the year. It’s a great excuse to do something fun and celebrate your love for your significant other. It’s not for everyone but if you’re looking for something fun to do, see if any of our favourites jump out at you.
Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday so there’s a high chance that you and your partner will want to do something that doesn’t involve alcohol. If you love movies, but never seem to make it to the cinema, book yourselves two tickets to something romantic. Nothing beats salty popcorn, cinema drinks, and a soppy rom-com.
If you would prefer to do something a little more fancy, a meal out is always a solid option. However, keep in mind that Valentine’s Day can be pretty pricey in some restaurants, as a lot of them have set menus. Do your research beforehand and find somewhere that suits your budget and taste buds.
This is my favourite Valentine’s Day activity by a long shot. Comedy shows can be really cheap and make for a great night out. I still remember the last comedy show date night I went on because it was such a great laugh. You can even combine this option with a meal (or a post-show drive through) for an extra special night.
If you and your partner prefer outdoor activities over romantic movies and meals then incorporate that into your Valentine’s Day. Book an adrenaline pumping activity like rock climbing or zip-lining or simply go on a long hike up your favourite mountain. Tip – If you want to do this during the day, but are both working, do it on the weekend instead.
