Love Stories: Tracey and Derek’s Vintage Hollywood Glamour Wedding

Today’s couple Tracey and Derek were married by Marry Me Ireland in Spring at Village at Lyons in Kildare, with a Vintage Hollywood Glamour Wedding theme. They chose a bespoke Sand Blending Ceremony  to symbolise the blending of their new family. Great inspiration for anyone thinking of having this loving ceremony as part of their day…

Tracey and Derek are currently living in Russia. Moscow may seem like a strange place to up and emigrate to but for Tracey and Derek it made perfect sense. Derek spends a lot of time travelling with work. He spends long hours and days away from his family and that’s not easy for any couple. So when an opportunity arose that meant they would be able to spend more time with each other but have to move to Moscow they agreed they should go. Tracey was soon to give birth to Ella so the timing was right. They are in their 4th year in Moscow now and life is good. When Derek proposed, they knew they were ready for the next stage.

Just look at these two cuties!

Niamh from Marry Me Ireland performed their sand blending ceremony. Tracey remembers, “She was just a wonderful person as well as a natural and talented celebrant. Every single person there commented on what a touching and personal service it was. We will remember it and Niamh with very fond memories.”

Tracey and Derek spent three days with all their family and friends at The Village at Lyons all of the team, Majella, Billy & Phillip made the whole event run seamlessly. The Head Chef Martin prepared the most amazing food over the three days including breakfast every morning. The couple told us, “it felt extremely lucky to find such an incredible bunch of people to help make the weekend so special. It was unforgettable.”

They went for simplicity in colours of grey and white and chose classic cuts and tailoring with natural tweed for the men and wispy jewelled chiffon for the ladies which contrasted wonderfully with the unique backdrop of the manor house.
