Beautiful weather for a beautiful couple.
Today’s Love Story began all the way back in America. Josh and Jessica met after they both moved to Arizona from Utah where they had, remarkably, lived a block away from each other and never met. It was fate that must have moved them both to Arizona and ensured they finally got to know one another. Since one of Josh’s ancestors hailed from Tullamore and Jessica had Celtic heritage of her own, the couple decided that Charleville Castle in Tullamore would be the perfect spot to elope.
On a beautiful April afternoon, Josh and Jessica had a quiet, intimate ceremony for two performed by Declan Gorman. A marriage blessing by James Dillet Freeman was read aloud, Josh and Jessica surprised each other with handwritten vows, and after the exchange of rings, the couple participated in a traditional handfasting ceremony.
An Irish Blessing:
May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.
May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.
After these words were spoken, the newlyweds spent the afternoon exploring the grounds, basking in the gorgeous weather, and enjoying finally being husband and wife.
Many thanks to Photographer Paula Nolan who took photos of this gorgeous couple’s ceremony. The entire team at Marry Me Ireland wish Jessica and Josh the very best in their future together, and we hope your wedding was everything you dreamed it could be.
