All weddings are unique – but some, as celebrant Lorraine Mancey O’ Brien found out, are more unique than others. It began with a phone call – asking if Lorraine would mind flying to London to meet a couple – and Lorraine was excited to accept. A short hop then with Ryanair and Lorraine walked into Soho House to meet the mystery couple. She knew there was something different about this consultation as she had to sign a confidentiality document but when she met them, she didn’t recognise either of them. As their love story unfolded it was clear that they were both in the world of celebrity.
The couple told us: “Lorraine spoke to us on the phone, then flew to London for our consultation, which was easy going, professional and full of laughing. And that laughing and sense of humour worked its way right through the ceremony, with Brian having not one but three diamond rings in the ring exchange (and who could blame him?) Of the ceremony itself they wrote: It was everything we wanted, touching moments, some humour, and beautifully written just for us. The ceremony itself was beautiful, there were tears of laughter and joy. Everyone was impressed by the intimate personal nature of our ceremony and we were absolutely delighted with it.”
Brian and Arthur were married at Powerscourt Hotel on a beautiful sunny day, with all of their guests outside and beaming from ear to ear as these two gorgeous men, one from fashion and dance, one from showbiz, tied the knot, with a unity candle ceremony, helped by their mothers and cheered on by all their friends and families. There was not a dry eye in the house when they said ‘I do’ – and sealed the deal, a fabulous future together ahead of them both!
The couple told us, “We found Marry Me Ireland on the internet and were delighted by their ‘can do’ attitude. They fully reflect a modern Ireland and they went above and beyond for our wedding. We wholeheartedly recommend Marry Me Ireland to anyone looking for that something special. ” Arthur Gourounlian & Brian Dowling
