Love Stories: Jodi and Jim’s Webcast Wedding in Dingle

Today’s pragmatic couple Jodi and Jim’s wedding took place in Dingle and was broadcast live, amazingly, back to their friends and family at home in America. They had an intimate outdoor handfasting ceremony performed by Gary Ledwith and the ceremony was performed on the lawns of the Milltown House under a grand oak tree, overlooking Dingle Bay…

We asked them to recall their memories of the day:

I cannot say enough about the wonderful job Gary did in performing the ceremony! His manner was professional, he was articulate and he took his time and didn’t rush through. I feel he really set the tone of the ceremony and portrayed the love and commitment between my husband and myself. We are delighted to have worked with him!

I feel everyone I dealt with at Marry Me Ireland went above and beyond for us. They all worked together so well to make our day so special and create beautiful memories that my husband and I will carry and reflect back on throughout our lives!”

As Jodi and James prepared for this webcast wedding ceremony they reflected on what it is that they love about each other.  Jodi said that the best way for her to describe James is to say he is a blessing from god.  “I feel God brought him back into my life when I needed him most. He makes my days brighter and honestly, I don’t know where I would be without him. He has made such an impact on my life and he’s shown me what true love is he has such a good heart, he is everything to me.”

James spoke lovingly of how Jodi has enriched his life, ‘Jodi fulfils a part of me that was missing, she is so accepting of me and my faults I feel complete with her in my life, she is very straight up and honest and I love that about her, we are a couple filled with love’.

Both Jodi and James felt their relationship was something spiritual between them and god and they feel very blessed with their faith and blessed by god in their union. A quote from Charles Morgan perhaps sums this up, ‘There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved: It is God’s finger on man’s shoulder’.
