Ballybur Castle

For those of you whose romantic dreams involve a castle then this could be the perfect option for you: Ballybur Castle is a luxury, self catering, guest house in the beautiful countryside located 15 minutes outside Kilkenny.  The ancient seat of the Comerford Clan, built around 1588. The 16th century towerhouse has been painstakingly restored to its former glory using the original building techniques and materials. Offering contemporary comforts while maintaining a traditional medieval atmosphere, it is a sanctuary of calm and historic beauty.
