8 Wedding Games that Guarantee a Memorable Night

Being surrounded by your friends and family, with good food and good music will almost guarantee you and your guests will enjoy themselves at your wedding. However, it doesn’t hurt to add some extra entertainment in to give your wedding night that extra boost. One way you can do that is with wedding games. We have compiled a list of some fun options below.

1. Mr & Mrs

Have your maid of honour write out a list of questions for you and your partner to answer, back to back and at the same time, about each other. Each of you should take one item to hold up for when the answer is you in your opinion and another item to hold up when you think the answer is your partner. Coloured paddles or each others shoes will work. Some examples are, “who wears the trousers in the relationship?”, “who is the grumpiest in the morning?” and “who is the biggest party animal?” Try to think of things personal to the couple as well as generic questions. Have someone count up how many questions you answered the same.

2. Customised Colouring Books

Colouring books are no longer just for kids. Get a customised colouring page for people to colour in. Make the image they are colouring in be something personal to the married couple. It can serve as keepsake for guests to remind them of your wedding day.

3. Karaoke

Who doesn’t love belting out the classics? Rent a karaoke machine for the night and set aside a time where people can get up and sing to their favourite tunes. Make sure to not have the karaoke machine on all night, it will get on people’s nerves after a while.

4. Children’s Place Mats

If there is going to be children at your wedding, think of ways to keep them occupied. Children’s place mats is one way to do this. Fill their place mats with puzzles and colouring pictures, it will keep the kids out of the way and enjoying themselves.

5. Wedding Bingo

This wedding game is for the whole wedding party. It is a good game to get all of the wedding guests mingling and chatting to each other. Give everyone a bingo card but instead of numbers, put a different attribute about people around the room, with a blank for someones name, in each box. Some examples could be, “name someone who has jumped out of an airplane”, “name someone who has red hair”, or “name someone with a tattoo”. Wedding guests will have to go around the room asking each other questions and getting to know people by name. Have a prize for the person who fills in every box first.

6. Song Cards

Give each table a different song. When the song is played the whole table has to get up and dance. This will get people to the dance floor and having fun early on in the night.

7. Fill in the Blank Story Cards

See who knows you best by giving everyone a print out of your love story, but with some key words missing. Whoever can fill it in fully first wins. An example may be, “Brian and Sarah met in _____”.

8. Celebrity Pairs Game

Each guest will recieve one half of a famous couples name, they will have until the end of the night to find their other half. This is a sure fire way to get your guests talking and getting to know one another.
